Well I have to say only good things about the band. First off I was thumbing through Time out NY looking for a band to see on my 30th birthday or really day before my b-day leading into my b-day. I couldn't find much on a thursday March 29th to see. I came across a snippet of a review of Darediablo, saying they sounded like a cross between MMW and MC5 which I was easily attracted to. I thought what an interesting combination of music, especially since I liked both of those bands. So I took a chance on my b-day and went to see Darediablo not knowing anything about them except the TONY review. I figured what they hell I have seen so many bands in NYC over the last 15 years my success rate was very high for seeing great bands. So off I went with 2 of my friends to Brownies to catch their gig. I must say I was very happy with what I saw and heard. I really like the fact that they had no guitar player, even though I am one myself and a huge fan of guitar players. I thought it was somewhat of a relief to see a band and not have to stare endlessly at the guitar player as I often do out of habit. I love the mesh between bas, drums and keyboard. My second favorite instrument is the hammond organ and although they didn't have a real b-3 it didn't matter. The mix of fender Rhodes and Hammond digital? combo sounded perfect. The bass playing was a blend of rythmn and gnarly lead that I haven't heard from a bass player in a while. All of that meshed with a driving, funky, jazzy drummer was perfect. I must say you guys made my birthday a great time, especially since I need good music around me at all times especially on a special occasion as my 30th b-day. So to Darediablo thank you very much for playing an awesome show for me, my friends and all the other fans that came to see you that night. "Music is the Best!"FZ
